What is epilepsy?

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that causes abnormal brain activity can cause seizures, unusual behaviour or sensations.

Seizures may be:

  • Absences – Where the individual may lose awareness of their surroundings
  • Tonic Clonic Seizure – Tonic means loss of consciousness and Clonic means jerking of limbs and possible loss of bowel control

What causes epilepsy?

Seizures may be caused by:

  • Tiredness
  • Stress
  • Alcohol
  • Not taking medication

What does Cura-Care do for someone with Epilepsy and Seizures?
